She coined the term ‘brat summer’ in 2024 and has been an icon for years. See Charlie XCX’s best pics here.
Over the course of her trailblazing career, Charli XCX has become one of pop music’s most influential and innovative artists. The British singer, songwriter, producer, creative director and record label founder has earned widespread acclaim for her forward-thinking sound, boundary-pushing visuals and fearless approach to pop stardom.
Born Charlotte Emma Aitchison, Charli rose from London’s underground music scene to international fame by blending experimental production with sharp, self-aware lyricism. After scoring hits like “Boom Clap,” “1999” and “Speed Drive,” she cemented her status as one of pop’s defining voices with her Grammy-winning 2024 album Brat, which inspired the viral “brat summer” phenomenon and reshaped the cultural conversation around pop music.
Since then, Charli has continued to evolve creatively with her 2026 album Music, Fashion, Film, while also expanding into acting with several upcoming film projects. As she continues to sell out arenas, headline major festivals and influence the next generation of pop artists, her impact on music and culture only continues to grow.
