Jack White is one of the most celebrated singer-songwriters in recent memory. He blew up the music scene in the late 90s with his band The White Stripes, which was co-founded by his now ex-wife Meg White. Interestingly, they publicly pretended to be siblings until evidence of their marriage surfaced in 2001. “When you see a band that is two pieces, husband and wife, boyfriend and girlfriend, you think, ‘Oh, I see…’ When they’re brother and sister, you go, ‘Oh, that’s interesting.’ You care more about the music, not the relationship — whether they’re trying to save their relationship by being in a band,” Jack told Rolling Stone in 2005, defending their faux sibling secret.
Jack has built an acclaimed solo career while also performing with bands including The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather. The multi-Grammy winner is known for constantly reinventing himself, whether through new music, collaborations or creative projects under his Third Man Records label.
Jack made headlines in April 2022 when he surprised fans at Detroit’s Masonic Temple by proposing to longtime girlfriend and fellow musician Olivia Jean during a concert. Moments later, the couple exchanged vows onstage in front of the sold-out crowd. The marriage was Jack’s third, following his marriage to Meg and his 2005 to 2013 marriage to model and singer Karen Elson, with whom he shares two children.
More than four years after their surprise wedding, Jack and Olivia made headlines again when she filed for divorce in June 2026.
